Trust your body and trust your heart and soul too, they will know how to move, how to feel and what to do.
All female beings have the power and capacity to give birth if we can only surrender to our inner wisdom. So try to clean your mind of all clutter, expose yourself to and interact only with formidable and positive people and elements in life!
Spend time in nature everyday, gardening, walking, feeling the plants and the animals, watching the natural elements in their various forms. They will remind you that you are a natural being too which will keep you inspired and connected to yourself, your baby and the forces of the universe.
Feed yourself and drink only beverages that are very good for you. Treat yourself as a sacred laboratory where you are concocting the most marvellous of inventions and should only take the best quality elements of life.
Walk, swim, hike, dance, stretch, do yoga, rest, sleep and live in your body extensively! Feel yourself deeply and explore the expansions and depths as well as the heights to which you can go!
Feel the love and the connection within yourself and everyone around you. Love and care is the emotion and sentiment which has brought your baby to gestate and which will birth her/him out into the world. Also love will nourish your baby and yourself for years to come. Focus on all the loving interactions stemming from the heart.
Choose to birth in the most warm and welcoming environment possible and with the most respectful and sensitive people that you can find. If you have not found them, move and look until you find them. Giving birth to this child is the single most important event you will both experience in your life that does not repeat itself twice.
Laugh, cry and share your deepest feelings with your midwife. The more she knows you, the more she will know what kind of help or presence of being you will need during your birth. Practice opening up during pregnancy with trusted people, so that during birth you will be ready to open up even more. Birth is about powerfully opening and surrendering in deep trust in order birth and rebirth to life! The things you will learn during your birth process will make you a much better woman and mother to receive this baby, so welcome any challenges openly.
Plan on resting and dedicating yourself to your baby fully for at least 40 days after giving birth. Call the help of loved ones and organise your life around welcoming a slow pace to get to know your baby and your new self. Breastfeeding is a very beautiful and constant act of devotion and love, so do it with calm and soothing energy.
Enjoy, learn and feel! Feel it all fully....you will relish it forever as long as you live.
